Entrepreneurial Training

It's Your Business is a 12-week class designed to assist you to start or expand your business more effectively.

If you are looking to start a business, this class will walk you through every aspect of running a business. If you are already in business, this class can help you better focus your marketing efforts, increase your profitability, and price for profit. If you are looking for financing, It's Your Business will assist you in creating a winning business plan. This class is offered Spring and Fall through College of the Siskiyous.

Individualized Technical Assistance

JEDI provides free and confidential business counseling services in collaboration with the Cascade Small Business Development Center.

Experienced business counselors are available to answer any of your business-related questions around topics such as:

• creative financing
• developing marketing strategies
• writing a business plan
• conducting financial analysis
• computerizing bookkeeping
• creating business partnerships

Capital Access

JEDI is not a lender, but can help you find the loan you need to start or grow your business. Business counselors understand what a lender is looking for and can help you position yourself for success in acquiring financing. JEDI can help you complete the business plan and loan application. JEDI is knowledgeable about loan programs serving the Siskiyou County area and has helped business owners acquire loans from $500 to $500,000.

Building Assets

This innovative savings program is designed to help you increase your savings and invest in your future dreams. JEDI's Individual Development Accounts enable you to triple your savings by completing the Making Your Money Work For You class and saving on a regular basis. JEDI matches your funds 2:1 on a quarterly basis. You can use these savings to invest in your business, buy a home, or continue your education. Eligibility is determined by your income and completion of the Making Your Money Work For You class.

Making Your Money Work For You is a personal money management class that will help you enhance or repair your credit, manage the money you do have more effectively, and build and protect your asset position.

2008 Free Tax Preparation - VITA ~ Flyer

JEDI an authorized IRS income tax preparation center. JEDI's volunteers are trained to prepare basic tax returns and schedule CEZ. Take advantage of the E-file program and receive your refund in 7-10 business days. Free tax preparation is available for income edigible JEDI Clients.
